As part of Industry-Academia initiative, Student Chapters have been opened in various leading colleges; to enable students do apprenticeship programmes in fluid power companies, facilitate industrial visit to the students and to develop their leadership qualities. Focused sessions are also allotted in Technical Seminar for students presentations.
Student chapters will network with the FPSI and support various professional activities of FPSI Head Office or at Regional Chapters as and when it is required. A coordinator from the college staff will associate with the representative nominated by FPSI council for effective overall functioning of the Studet Chapter.
Over 10 Student Chapters are formed across India with over 300+ student members enrolled, the first one having been started in 2013.
For the first time, opportunity has been given to students to present their project works based on Hydraulics / Pneumatics / Mechatronics in the International Technical Seminar held annually during June. Also as a part of Fluid Power Professionals’ Day, best project is presented Pascal Student Award.
