In pursuance of clause No.40 of FPSI Constitution, the 35thAnnual General Body Meeting of FLUID POWER SOCIETY OF INDIA (Regd.) for the year 2013 – 2014 was held as scheduled on 1st August 2014 inGarden side Hall, Hotel Gateway, Bangalore – 560 025.
Notifications for convening this General Body Meeting were sent to all FPSI Industrial / Institutional / Individual Members vide 1st Notification Ref.: 9004/5B/14 Dated: 20.06.2014 and 2nd Notification Ref.: 9005A/GB/14 Dated: 15.07.2014 giving due notice period, as stipulated in the Constitution.
35 Members attended the Annual General Body Meeting complying with the quorum necessary for holding the meeting and the attendance registration sheets were maintained.
Mr. Naresh H V , General Secretary welcomed all the members and requested President Mr. Seethapathi Rao to chair the session and conduct the proceedings of the Annual General Body Meeting and also requested Mr. Manoj Dunung, Mr.Gururaj G V and Mr. P.R.Srinivasa to the dais.
In his opening remarks, President Mr. Seethapathi Rao welcomed all the members attending the 35th Annual General Body Meeting and briefed various initiatives taken by FPSI such as Industry academia interaction, Student Chapter Inauguration in top colleges and celebration of Fluid Power Professionals Day on 19th June. He thanked all the Council Members for their support. Further Mr M Seethapathy Rao informed the members that, FPSI acquired office space at prestigious location at Sadasivanagar Bangalore. Thus long cherished dream of having own office for FPSI have been fulfilled. He requested Mr Naresh to present the Secretary’s Report.
Mr. Naresh readout the Secretary’s Report covering the activities and Programme conducted by the Society during the term 2013 – 2014.President asked the members if there were any queries regarding Gen. Secretary’s report. The Secretary’s Report was adopted without any specific comments from the members.
The report was proposed by Mr. YoganarasimhaMem.No. M – 0003 and seconded by Mr. Edward D’souza Mem. No. LSI – 1548.
The President then requested Mr. P.R. Srinivasa, Treasurer to present the Audit Report for the year 2013 – 2014. Mr. Srinivasa presented the Audit Report.
Mr S Venkataramiah Membership no LM-7 conveyed his observation on increase in Expenses compared to previous years budgets and suggested council to take appropriate measures. President clarified that last two years we have permanent secretariat and undertaken various program like Industry Academia interaction and celebration of Fluid Power Professionals’ Day ect. He proposedthat we have to spend on various such a activities as an investment for future, however he said FPSI will initiate actions to improve the revenue to balance the expenses.
The Auditor’s report was proposed by Mr. Rajasekaran Membership no .M-681 and seconded by Mr Ravikumar M 2752
Revision of Membership Fee
Mr Naresh H V general secretary brought to the notice of members that the existing fee structure for FPSI Membership was implemented in 2006.He also suggested an upward revision in the membership fee structure has become inevitable due to the rising costs in printing, stationary and maintenance of office.
It was agreed to amend the fee structure as given below:

The above increase will come in effect from 1-4-2014 (2014-15) and secretariat will collect the fees accordingly.
Further it was agreed to introduce life member. One to become life he should meet all requirement to be as a member and should have cleared all the due. He can become life member paying one time lump sum of equivalent to 10 years membership fee if he meets all other criteria required to be a member.
The proposal for above amendments in FPSI constitution unanimously accepted by all the members present in the meeting. Mr M S Yoganarasimha founder member M-003 proposed it for adoption and Dr Singaperumal LM-467 seconded it and was adopted.
Appointment of auditors.
General Secretary brought to the notice of members to the proposal to appoint Mr B V Ravindra No 33/11,1st A Main Road 1st N Block Rajaji Nagar Bangalore 560010 for the term 2014 – 2015 since present auditor is busy with other assignments.
Appointment of auditor Mr B V Ravindra was unanimously accepted by all the members present in the meeting. Mr M S Yoganarasimha founder member M-003 proposed it for adoption and Mr Victor Edward D’Souza Membership no SSI-1972 seconded it and was adopted
Election of New council
Mr. Seethapathy Rao said that as terms of present council was ending nominations were invited for various post of the Council. No fresh election was found necessary as the posts had been filled up after obtaining due consent of eligible members.He requested Mr. Naresh to announce the names.

Mr C.P Rangachar talked about “Fluid Power Industry Past, Present and Future” Nearly seventy professionals attended this event. There seventy professionals including FPSI members attended the speech and actively participated question and answer session. Meeting ended with dinner.
